OUR Mission.
Since The Blue Mountain Project's birth in 2019, we have had the opportunity to assist countless students and community members with educational and living costs. Given that public education in Jamaica comes with many expenses, we have made it our mission to minimize those expenses as much as possible in order to make students' learning journey a measure of their intelligence and creativity, not a measure of their transportation or financial means.
Educate, Empower, and Inspire.
Fueling Education with Transportation, Nutrition, and Health Care.

EDUCATE
Provide the materials necessary to ensure students’ educational needs are met, giving them all the resources they need to learn effectively.
Transportation
Our director prioritized addressing transportation challenges, recalling his own three- to four-hour school commutes. Nearly three decades later, students still face similar hardships, relying on few taxis, costly fares, or long, unsafe walks due to the lack of public transit. High fuel costs further limit accessibility, impacting education.

EMPOWER
Provide students with the extra tools and healthcare they need to succeed, ensuring that meeting their basic needs empowers the entire learning experience.
Breakfast and Lunch
Many students at Shirley Castle face significant financial hardship, often limiting their access to meals. That’s why we prioritize providing breakfast and lunch for every student—no questions asked. Remarkably, we can feed each child for just $1.30 per day, ensuring they receive nutritious meals and the energy to learn.

INSPIRE
Inspire students to advance in their education and aim for new heights by offering additional social support and proven methods to foster self-confidence.
Health Clinics
For two years, we’ve proudly organized Shirley Castle’s annual health clinic, bringing at least seven healthcare professionals each year to serve students and community members. Hundreds have received care, but with limited medical resources, our goal is to increase clinic frequency to ensure consistent healthcare access for the community.
